The House assembled at 10:00 A.M.

Deliberations were opened with prayer by the Chaplain of the House of Representatives, the Rev. Dr. Alton C. Clark as follows:

O God of all understanding, from the noise and tumult all around, from the clash and clamor of daily duties, from the clamor of many voices, we thank You for these brief moments to lift our thoughts to You. Fill us with Your wisdom and rule our hearts, our minds and our voices that we may be instruments of Your mighty plans and purposes. Grant us the knowlege to speak prudently when we speak; to remain silent when we have nothing to say; to learn by listening; to be unafraid of hard decisions; to act according to your will; and to leave the results of Your perfect judgment.

We pray to our God Who is ready to be our Support in every situation. Amen.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of yesterday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.

ADJOURNMENT

At 10:15 A.M. the House in accordance with the ruling of the SPEAKER adjourned to meet at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday.
