Deliberations were opened with prayer by the Chaplain of the House of Representatives, the Rev. Dr. Alton C. Clark as follows:

O God, our Father, the Light of the true hearted and the Inspiration of the wholehearted, grant us the desire and the wisdom to stay close to You throughout the hours of this day. May its hours be radiant with Your presence and the moments reflect the truth of Your Word. Keep us eager to do Your will and ready to serve our God and our fellowbeings with all our energies. Make us great enough to face these hours with courage, sure enough to live this day with confidence, and generous enough to expend our efforts that we fail not our fellowmen or our God.

In the Name of Jesus, the Christ, we pray.

Amen.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of yesterday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.

At 10:10 A.M. the House in accordance with the ruling of the SPEAKER adjourned to meet at 12:00 Noon Tuesday, March 29.
