AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 15, TITLE 41, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 41-15-615 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT INDIVIDUALS, CORPORATIONS, PARTNERSHIPS, OR OTHER BUSINESS ENTITIES ARE NOT REQUIRED TO BE REPRESENTED BY AN ATTORNEY WHEN APPEARING IN A PROCEEDING BEFORE THE SOUTH CAROLINA OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY REVIEW BOARD, BUT MAY APPEAR PRO SE.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Appearance by attorney before board

SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 41-15-615. An individual, partnership, corporation, or other business entity is not required to be represented by an attorney when appearing in a proceeding before the board, but may appear pro se."

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
