A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING THE MEN'S TENNIS TEAM OF LANDER COLLEGE ON WINNING THE 1991 NAIA MEN'S TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIP AT KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI.

Whereas, the Lander College men's tennis team captured the 1991 NAIA Men's Tennis Championship at Kansas City, Missouri on Thursday, May 23, 1991; and

Whereas, this was the Senators' third NAIA tennis title in seven seasons, with championships occurring in 1985 and 1988 also; and

Whereas, the members of the team and Coach Joe Cabri are to be commended for the hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm that earned them the national crown; and

Whereas, all South Carolinians, and, especially, the citizens of Greenwood County, are extremely proud of the highly talented and outstanding young men who comprise the Senators' tennis team. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulates the men's tennis team of Lander College on winning the 1991 NAIA Men's Tennis Championship at Kansas City, Missouri.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Coach Joe Cabri and the Lander College men's tennis team..
