A SENATE RESOLUTION

EXPRESSING THE SYMPATHY OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SENATE TO THE FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS OF THE LATE RANDY MACK OF WEST COLUMBIA IN LEXINGTON COUNTY.

Whereas, the members of the Senate were saddened to learn of the death of Randy Mack of West Columbia in Lexington County; and

Whereas, Mr. Mack, owner of Randy Mack Builders, and longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Gaston, served his profession and community with distinction as a former board member of the Homebuilders Association of Greater Columbia; and

Whereas, Mr. Mack was a longtime activist in Republican Party politics in the Midlands, serving on the Lexington County Steering Committee for Carroll Campbell for Governor in 1986 and 1990, as a county committee member for George Bush for President in 1988, and with the Joe Wilson for Senate Committee in 1984 and 1988; and

Whereas, it is appropriate that the members of the Senate pause in their deliberations so that they might note the passing of so distinguished a South Carolinian whose death is a great loss not only to his family but also to the entire community. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the Senate express sympathy to the family and many friends of the late Randy Mack of West Columbia in Lexington County.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to his father, Mr. Joe Ben Mack of Gaston.
