A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

EXPRESSING THE SORROW OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY AT THE DEATH OF MARVIN EARLE (CHIP) MABRY, II, OF CHEROKEE COUNTY AND EXTENDING SYMPATHY TO HIS FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS.

Whereas, Marvin Earle (Chip) Mabry, II, of Gaffney, Cherokee County, died September 26, 1991, at the age of fourteen; and

Whereas, he was born in Cherokee County, was a member of New Pleasant Baptist Church, and was a ninth grade student at Granard Junior High School; and

Whereas, we were deeply saddened to learn of this young man's death, and we know that his family and friends loved him very much and will miss him greatly; and

Whereas, we want his family and friends to know that they are in our thoughts and have our deepest sympathy. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, expresses sorrow at the death of Marvin Earle (Chip) Mabry, II, of Cherokee County and extends sympathy to his family and many friends.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the family of young Mr. Mabry, in care of Mr. and Mrs. Wade Parris, 3212 Chesnee Highway, Gaffney.
