A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO COMMEND THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF MENTAL HEALTH FOR ITS INITIATIVE IN ESTABLISHING ALZHEIMER'S DAY TREATMENT PROGRAMS.

Whereas, the State Department of Mental Health has demonstrated initiative in caring for people with Alzheimer's disease by the establishment of the A-Team Alzheimer's day treatment program at William S. Hall Psychiatric Institute; and

Whereas, the State Department of Mental Health has further demonstrated initiative in caring for people with Alzheimer's disease by expanding day treatment programs for persons with Alzheimer's disease to Aiken, Charleston, and Lexington counties. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly commend the State Department of Mental Health for its initiative in developing Alzheimer's day treatment programs.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Dr. Joseph J. Bevilacqua, State Commissioner, State Department of Mental Health.
