TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 1-11-146 SO AS TO REQUIRE CERTAIN BENEFITS UNDER THE STATE HEALTH PLAN FOR MENTAL, NERVOUS, DRUG, OR ALCOHOLISM RELATED DISORDERS.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 1-11-146. Inpatient and outpatient benefits under the State Health Plan for mental, nervous, drug, or alcoholism related disorders must pay at least:
(1) annual benefit: fifteen thousand dollars;
(2) total benefit: fifty thousand dollars."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
