A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 1-1-1030 SO AS TO REQUIRE REPORTS BY STATE AGENCIES PERTAINING TO CONFERENCES ORGANIZED OR ATTENDED BY THE AGENCIES' EMPLOYEES.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 1-1-1030. At the end of each fiscal year each state agency shall submit a report to the Finance Committee of the Senate and the Ways and Means Committee of the House of Representatives which must include:

(1) a list of conferences organized or attended by the agency's employees;

(2) the purpose of each conference;

(3) the date and location of each conference;

(4) the number of employees from the agency attending each conference;

(5) the total cost of each conference."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
