A JOINT RESOLUTION

TO APPROVE REGULATIONS OF THE ATHLETIC COMMISSION, RELATING TO MODIFICATIONS AND CLARIFICATIONS, DESIGNATED AS REGULATION DOCUMENT NUMBER 1406, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 23, TITLE 1 OF THE 1976 CODE.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. The regulations of the Athletic Commission, relating to modifications and clarifications, designated as Regulation Document Number 1406, and submitted to the General Assembly pursuant to the provisions of Article 1, Chapter 23, Title 1 of the 1976 Code, are approved.

SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.

R. 20-4.8, 20-13.5, 20-23.9, 20-24.9 changes the fees that promoters pay from two percent of the purse to two percent of admission fees. R. 20-19.1 permits fees for charity events to be negotiated. R. 20-8.13 changes penalty for losing a mouthpiece and declares a "no contest" if a boxing event is stopped because of an accidental butt in the 1st or 2nd round. R. 20-11.3 provides that the bell will not prevent a boxer from being counted out except in the last round. R. 20-8.16, 20-8.18 define fouls and provide penalties. R. 20-25.4 authorizes a bond in lieu of insurance for "Off the Street Boxing." R. 20-2.12, 20-23.1 corrects errors. R. 20-3.11, 20-3.12, 20-6.2, 20-8.3, 20-8.5, 20- 8.9, 20-8.19, 20-8.28, 20-24.13 clarify ambiguous regulations. R. 20-3.20, 20-8.1, 20-8.11, 20-8.27, 20-14.1, 20-23.2 inserts cross references.
