COMMENDING THE HONORABLE J. ED HORTON, SR., MAGISTRATE, ANDERSON COUNTY, BELTON DISTRICT 2, AREA 1, FOR HIS MANY YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE AND EXTENDING HIM BEST WISHES IN HIS RETIREMENT.
Whereas, the Honorable J. Ed Horton, Sr., retired as magistrate of Anderson County, Belton District 2, Area 1, on April 30, 1992; and
Whereas, Magistrate Horton has been a respected member of the judicial branch of this State since October 4, 1974; and
Whereas, he has served with integrity and honor these many years as magistrate and has treated all those who came before him with dignity and fairness; and
Whereas, he has been an outstanding public servant who has earned the admiration and gratitude of the people of Anderson County and his peers across the State and he is highly deserving of recognition and commendation. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:
That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, commends the Honorable J. Ed Horton, Sr., of Anderson County, Magistrate of Belton District 2, Area 1, for his many years of dedicated service to the people of Anderson County and this State and extend him best wishes in his retirement.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Horton.
