TO AMEND RULE 4.16, AS AMENDED, RULES OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, RELATING TO THE LEGISLATIVE ETHICS COMMITTEE, SO AS TO PROVIDE FOR AN ADDITIONAL COMMITTEE MEMBER WHO IS A FRESHMAN MEMBER OF THE HOUSE.
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That Rule 4.16 of the Rules of the House of Representatives, as last amended by House Resolution H. 3001 of 1991, is further amended by adding:
"d. The House of Representatives Legislative Ethics Committee shall have as a member, in addition to the members which may otherwise be provided for by these Rules or by the act referred to in subsection a of this rule, a freshman member of the House of Representatives. This additional member shall be elected by the freshmen members of the House. The additional member's service on this committee expires when his or her freshman term of office in the House of Representatives ends."
