A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING THE WILDCATS OF JONESVILLE HIGH SCHOOL OF UNION COUNTY ON WINNING THE CLASS A STATE FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP FOR 1990.

Whereas, the Wildcats of Jonesville High School defeated Lake View High School 14-6 on Friday, November 30, 1990, and won the Class A state football championship for 1990; and

Whereas, the Jonesville title victory was aided by two hundred fourteen yards rushing from senior tailback Cleve Brannon and a great defensive goal line stand in the fourth quarter; and

Whereas, in defeating Lake View, the Wildcats capped a superb season of outstanding play, dedication, and hard work and are highly deserving of recognition. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulates the Wildcats of Jonesville High School of Union County on winning the Class A state football championship for 1990.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Jonesville High School football team, in care of Head Coach Pat Littlejohn, at Jonesville.
