A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING THE FORT MILL HIGH SCHOOL BAND AND BAND DIRECTOR BOB COTTER UPON WINNING NUMEROUS CHAMPIONSHIPS.

Whereas, the Fort Mill High School marching band has swept numerous band contests this past year; and

Whereas, the Director of the Fort Mill High School marching band is Bob Cotter who has been an inspiring leader of the band members, directing them in their many victories; and

Whereas, the band took first place and was designated Grand Champions at the Apple Blossom Festival; and

Whereas, in the Rock Hill Burger King Classic the band was awarded first place and was the grand champion; and

Whereas, they were victorious in Lynchburg, Virginia, again taking first place and the grand championship; and

Whereas, in the South Carolina Upper State Competition they received second place; and

Whereas, they won the coveted South Carolina State 3-A Marching Championship; and

Whereas, at the Florida Citrus Bowl Music Festival they won first place and were designated grand champions; and

Whereas, the band members and Director Cotter are hard working and diligent in their marching pursuits and represent Fort Mill High School well throughout the State and the Southeast. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina by this resolution congratulates Fort Mill High School Marching Band and band director Bob Cotter upon their many awards.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Fort Mill High School Marching Band in care of Mr. Bob Cotter, Director.
