TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 8-13-835 SO AS TO REQUIRE A PUBLIC OFFICIAL WHO IS AN ATTORNEY TO DISCLOSE ALL FEES PAID TO THE FIRM WITH WHICH THE OFFICIAL IS ASSOCIATED THAT INVOLVE A STATE AGENCY.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 8-13-835. Every public official who is an attorney must disclose all fees paid to the firm with which he is associated that involve a state agency."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
