A BILL

TO AMEND SECTION 56-3-130, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO EXEMPTIONS OF CERTAIN BOAT, FARM, AND OTHER UTILITY TRAILERS FROM REGISTRATION AND LICENSING REQUIREMENTS, SO AS TO CLARIFY THE EXEMPTION.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. Section 56-3-130 of the 1976 Code is amended to read:

"Section 56-3-130. Boat trailers under twenty-five hundred pounds, farm trailers, and other utility trailers under twenty-five hundred pounds, which are privately owned and not for hire, need not be licensed or registered are exempt from registration and licensing under this chapter."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
