A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING MRS. BARBARA JACKSON, FOURTH GRADE TEACHER AT NORTH SPRINGS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN RICHLAND COUNTY, UPON BEING SELECTED AS RICHLAND SCHOOL DISTRICT TWO'S TEACHER OF THE YEAR FOR 1990-91.

Whereas, Mrs. Barbara Jackson, a fourth grade teacher at North Springs Elementary School in Richland County, has been selected as Richland School District Two's Teacher of the Year for 1990-91; and

Whereas, Mrs. Jackson, who has fourteen years of teaching experience, has taught at North Springs for eight years and previously taught fourth and fifth grade at Nelson Elementary School; and

Whereas, she received a bachelor of arts degree and a master of arts degree, both in elementary education, from the University of South Carolina; and

Whereas, she is an outstanding educator who clearly exemplifies the ideals of the teaching profession and has won the respect and admiration of her peers and her students; and

Whereas, her dedication and her ability are highly deserving of recognition. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulates Mrs. Barbara Jackson, fourth grade teacher at North Springs Elementary School in Richland County, upon being selected as Richland School District Two's Teacher of the Year for 1990-91.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mrs. Jackson at North Springs Elementary School and to Ms. Donna Windham, coordinator of public information for Richland School District Two, 6831 Brookfield Road, Columbia, South Carolina, 29206.
