TO APPROVE REGULATIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF CONSUMER AFFAIRS, RELATING TO ENFORCEMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLE EXPRESS WARRANTIES, DESIGNATED AS REGULATION DOCUMENT NUMBER 1303, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 23, TITLE 1 OF THE 1976 CODE.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The regulations of the Department of Consumer Affairs, relating to Enforcement of Motor Vehicle Express Warranties, designated as Regulation Document Number 1303, and submitted to the General Assembly pursuant to the provisions of Article 1, Chapter 23, Title 1 of the 1976 Code, are approved.
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
This regulation concerns recordkeeping by manufacturers of new motor vehicles sold in this State. The regulation specifies the necessary information for keeping records of vehicles repurchased or replaced under Chapter 28 of Title 56 of the S.C. Code of Laws. It also establishes the S.C. Motor Vehicle Warranty Arbitration Board.
