TO APPROVE REGULATIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF CONSUMER AFFAIRS, RELATING TO MORTGAGE LOAN BROKER CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION, DESIGNATED AS REGULATION DOCUMENT NUMBER 1305, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 23, TITLE 1 OF THE 1976 CODE.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The regulations of the Department of Consumer Affairs, relating to Mortgage Loan Broker Certificate of Registration, designated as Regulation Document Number 1305, and submitted to the General Assembly pursuant to the provisions of Article 1, Chapter 23, Title 1 of the 1976 Code, are approved.
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
This regulation concerns the Certificate of Registration required by the Registration Requirements Act of Certain Loanbrokers of Mortgages and Deeds of Trust on Residential Real Property, S.C. Section 40-58-10 et seq. The regulation also concerns recordkeeping by mortgage loanbrokers in South Carolina as well as the content of those records.
