A BILL

TO AMEND SECTION 45-9-10, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO EQUAL ENJOYMENT AND PRIVILEGES TO PUBLIC ACCOMMODATIONS, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT NO PERSON MAY BE DENIED ENJOYMENT AND PRIVILEGES TO PUBLIC ACCOMMODATIONS BASED ON SEX.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. Section 45-9-10(A) of the 1976 Code, as added by Act 423 of 1990, is amended to read:

"(A) All persons shall be are entitled to the full and equal enjoyment of the goods, services, facilities, privileges, advantages, and accommodations of any a place of public accommodation, as defined in Article 1 of this chapter, without discrimination of segregation on the ground of race, color, sex, religion, or national origin."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
