AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 7-7-280, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE VOTING PRECINCTS AND POLLING PLACES IN GREENVILLE COUNTY, SO AS TO CHANGE THE POLLING PLACES FOR PRECINCT 6, GREENVILLE, AND PRECINCT 117, WARE PLACE.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Polling place changed

SECTION 1. Precinct 6, Greenville, as contained in Section 7-7-280 of the 1976 Code, is amended to read:

"Precinct 6, Greenville, consists of that area bounded on the north by W. Washington Rd., W. Washington St., N. Hudson St., Hampton Ave., Lloyd St., Buncombe St., W. North St., and E. North St.; on the east by Church St. (Hwy. 29); on the south by the Reedy River, S. Main St., Pendleton St., Wardlaw St., Birnie St., Calhoun St., Ware St., Gower St., and a line from Gower St. to the Southern Railroad; and on the west by the Southern Railroad and the Greenville city limits. The polling place for this precinct is the Downtown Baptist Church."

SECTION 2. Precinct 117, Ware Place, as contained in Section 7-7-280 of the 1976 Code and as last amended by Act 403 of 1988, is further amended to read:

"Precinct 117, Ware Place, consists of that area bounded on the north by Piedmont Hwy. (Hwy. 20), McMahon Rd., McMahon Mill Rd., and W. Georgia Rd.; on the east by Reedy Fork Rd.; on the south by McKelvey Rd., Pearson Rd., the Mountain Creek, Stoddard Rd., a straight line from the intersection of Stoddard Rd. and Hwy. 247 to the right fork of Grove Creek, and extends along the right fork of Grove Creek and Grove Creek; and on the West by the county line. The polling place for this precinct is Ellen Woodside School."

SECTION 3. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
