A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE THE COLUMBIA HIGH SCHOOL LADY CAPITALS BASKETBALL TEAM UPON REACHING THE STATE CLASS AAA GIRLS' BASKETBALL FINAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME.

Whereas, the Columbia High School Lady Capitals Basketball team reached the State Class AAA Girls' Basketball finals this year in the team's first championship game; and

Whereas, the game against Anderson Westside also was the first championship game for the Lady Capitals' Coach Bobby Young; and

Whereas, despite the 47-46 loss to the Lady Rams, the Lady Capitals trained well, played hard, and were impressive on the road to the final game and should be proud of the accomplishments of the team as well as Coach Young; and

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly recognize the efforts and talent on the Columbia High School Lady Capitals Basketball team and wish Coach Young much success in seasons to come with this and future teams. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly congratulate Columbia High School Lady Capitals Basketball team upon reaching the State Class AAA Girls' Basketball final championship game.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Coach Young.
