A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO EXPRESS THE DEEPEST SYMPATHY OF THE MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY TO THE FAMILY OF MR. BOYD S. RAGAN OF CAMPOBELLO WHO DIED ON APRIL 17, 1991.

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Mr. Boyd S. Ragan of Campobello on April 17, 1991, at the age of ninety-six; and

Whereas, throughout his life Mr. Ragan was an admired and respected member of his community and State; and

Whereas, he was a native of Spartanburg, a retired farmer, a World War I veteran, and a member of the Campobello United Methodist Church; and

Whereas, with the death of this fine man the people of Campobello, Spartanburg County, and the State of South Carolina have lost an outstanding citizen and a good friend; and

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, would like to offer their sincere condolences to his wife, son, daughter, and other members of his family in this time of sorrow. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly hereby express their deepest sympathy to the family of Mr.

Boyd S. Ragan of Campobello who died on April 17, 1991.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to his wife, Mrs. Irene Fain Ragan.
