TO WELCOME THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF CONSUMER AGENCY ADMINISTRATORS TO SOUTH CAROLINA FOR ITS SIXTEENTH ANNUAL CONFERENCE AT HILTON HEAD JUNE 9-12, 1991, TO WISH THEM A SUCCESSFUL CONFERENCE, AND TO COMMEND STEVEN W. HAMM AND THE SOUTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF CONSUMER AFFAIRS FOR BRINGING THIS ASSOCIATION TO SOUTH CAROLINA.
Whereas, the National Association of Consumer Agency Administrators' (NACAA) Sixteenth Annual Conference will be held in Hilton Head, South Carolina, from June 9-12, 1991; and
Whereas, the NACAA was established in 1976 by state and local government officials who wanted to improve efforts to gather and disseminate information, seek solutions to consumer problems, and develop skills essential to effective management of consumer agencies; and
Whereas, NACAA's one hundred fifty members represent city, county, state, federal, and foreign consumer agencies that are involved in all aspects of protecting consumer rights; and
Whereas, the South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs and Department Administrator Steven W. Hamm, former past president of NACAA, are to be commended for bringing this national association to South Carolina; and
Whereas, the General Assembly is pleased to have this opportunity to welcome the members and conferees of the National Association of Consumer Agency Administrators to South Carolina. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina welcomes the National Association of Consumer Agency Administrators to South Carolina for its Sixteenth Annual Conference being held at Hilton Head June 9-12, 1991, wishes them a productive and successful conference, and commends Administrator Steven W. Hamm and the South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs for bringing this national association to South Carolina.
