A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

COMMENDING JAMES B. ELLISOR FOR HIS OUTSTANDING SERVICE AS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE STATE ELECTION COMMISSION AND WISHING HIM HAPPINESS AND SUCCESS FOLLOWING HIS RETIREMENT.

Whereas, James B. Ellisor has for many years served as executive director of the State Election Commission; and

Whereas, under his outstanding leadership and direction countless improvements in the election laws and the conduct of elections in South Carolina have been accomplished; and

Whereas, Jim Ellisor has truly been a dedicated public servant and the entire State is indebted to him for his excellent service; and

Whereas, he has announced his retirement from the position of executive director of the Election Commission; and

Whereas, we want him to know that we value the advice, hard work, and dedication he has so selflessly rendered over the years. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, commends James B. Ellisor for his outstanding service as executive director of the State Election Commission and wishes him happiness and success following his retirement.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. James B. Ellisor.
