A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 38-77-970 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT NOTHING IN TITLE 38 SHALL BE CONSTRUED TO PROHIBIT REBATES OR DISCOUNTS ON PREMIUMS TO THE INSURED WITH RESPECT TO MOTOR VEHICLE INSURANCE POLICIES OR CONTRACTS.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 38-77-970. Nothing contained in any provision of Title 38 shall be construed so as to prohibit rebates or discounts on premiums to the insured with respect to motor vehicle insurance policies or contracts."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
