TO CONGRATULATE THE GRANITEVILLE COMPANY OF AIKEN COUNTY AND ITS ASSOCIATES OF GREIGE MILLS AND SERVICE AREAS FOR THEIR OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE AND ACCOMPLISHMENT IN WORK SAFETY BY OPERATING FOR TWO YEARS WITHOUT A "LOST TIME" INJURY WHICH AMOUNTS TO OVER TWENTY-SEVEN MILLION WORK HOURS.
Whereas, the Graniteville Company, a leading textile manufacturer in our State, has operated at its Greige Mills and service areas for two years with no "lost time" injuries; and
Whereas, these two years with no "lost time" injuries amount to over twenty-seven million work hours; and
Whereas, this is an outstanding accomplishment for this company and its employees; and
Whereas, it is fitting for the General Assembly to congratulate the Graniteville Company and its associates of the Greige Mills and service areas for this outstanding accomplishment. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the South Carolina General Assembly, by this resolution, congratulate the Graniteville Company of Aiken County and its associates of Greige Mills and service areas for their outstanding performance and accomplishment in work safety by operating for two years without a "lost time" injury which amounts to over twenty-seven million work hours.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Harold D. Kingsmore, President and Chief Operating Officer, Graniteville Company, Graniteville, South Carolina.
