A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE MR. ANDERSON PERRY OF NEWBERRY UPON THE OCCASION OF HIS ONE HUNDRED TENTH BIRTHDAY.

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly are very pleased to learn that Mr. Anderson Perry, a lifelong resident of Newberry County, celebrated his one hundred tenth birthday on March 10, 1992; and

Whereas, this amazing South Carolinian continues to be a source of pride and inspiration for his many friends and well-wishers in Newberry County; and

Whereas, at the age of one hundred ten, Anderson Perry still remains very active and participates each week in activities ranging from religious services at the Little River Baptist Church to exercise classes at the Julian E. Grant Homes Community Center; and

Whereas, he is a retired farmer who with his late beloved wife, Lelia, had five children only one of whom unfortunately is now living; and

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, would like to salute and extend their very best wishes to Mr. Perry on this very happy and significant occasion. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly hereby congratulate Mr. Anderson Perry of Newberry upon the occasion of his one hundred tenth birthday.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Perry.
