CONGRATULATING MR. AND MRS. CHARLES ALLEN EVANS OF ANDERSON COUNTY ON THE JOYFUL OCCASION OF THEIR FIFTY-EIGHTH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY AND WISHING THEM MANY MORE YEARS OF HAPPINESS TOGETHER.
Whereas, Charles Allen Evans and Estelle Mae Hawkins Evans were married on March 23, 1934, and they have just celebrated their fifty-eighth wedding anniversary; and
Whereas, Mr. Evans, who is from Marion, Ohio, and Mrs. Evans, who is from Shoals, Ohio, met when both were working at Goodyear Tire Company in Akron, Ohio, and were married in Akron; and
Whereas, they moved to Anderson in 1945 and have three daughters, ten grandchildren, and six great grandchildren; and
Whereas, Mr. and Mrs. Evans are a delightful couple who are beloved in Anderson and have meant much to their community over the years; and
Whereas, we are delighted to have the opportunity to recognize and congratulate them on their fifty-eighth anniversary. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulate Mr. and Mrs. Charles Allen Evans of Anderson County on the joyful occasion of their fifty-eighth wedding anniversary and wish them many more years of happiness together.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. and Mrs. Evans.
