A BILL

TO AMEND SECTION 47-7-110, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE PROHIBITION ON DOMESTIC ANIMALS RUNNING AT LARGE, SO AS TO INCREASE THE PENALTIES.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. Section 47-7-110 of the 1976 Code is amended to read:

"Section 47-7-110. (A) It shall be is unlawful for the owner or manager of any a domestic animal of any description wilfully or negligently to permit any such the animal to run at large beyond the limits of his own land or the lands leased, occupied, or controlled by him.

(B) Any An owner, a manager, or a person violating the provisions of this section shall be subject to a fine for each offense of, upon conviction, must be fined not more than twenty-five two hundred dollars or to imprisonment for imprisoned not more than twenty-five thirty days, or both."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
