CONGRATULATING SHERIFF WILLIAM A. JOLLY OF UNION COUNTY UPON BEING CHOSEN "SHERIFF OF THE YEAR" FOR 1991 DURING THE SOUTH CAROLINA SHERIFFS' ASSOCIATION'S QUARTERLY MEETING, MARCH 19, 1992.
Whereas, Sheriff William A. Jolly of Union County was chosen "Sheriff of the Year" for 1991 at the South Carolina Sheriffs' Association's quarterly meeting, March 19, 1992; and
Whereas, Sheriff Jolly has been Union county's sheriff since 1981 and is a graduate of the FBI Academy, the National Sheriffs' Institute, and the Criminal Justice Academy; and
Whereas, he is truly an outstanding and dedicated law enforcement officer who has won the respect and admiration of his peers; and
Whereas, the honor he was awarded on March 19, 1992, makes him highly deserving of recognition. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulates Sheriff William A. Jolly of Union County upon being chosen "Sheriff of the Year" for 1991 during the South Carolina Sheriffs' Association's quarterly meeting, March 19, 1992.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Sheriff Jolly.
