A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 1-11-272 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT THE DIVISION OF MOTOR VEHICLE MANAGEMENT OF THE BUDGET AND CONTROL BOARD SHALL NOT APPROVE THE PERSONAL ASSIGNMENT OF VEHICLES TO EXCEED ONE THOUSAND FORTY VEHICLES, AND TO PROVIDE EXCEPTIONS.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 1-11-272. Excluding the personal assignment of law enforcement and emergency vehicles, the Division of Motor Vehicle Management of the Budget and Control Board shall not approve the personal assignment of vehicles to exceed one thousand forty vehicles."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
