TO CONGRATULATE RUBY M. MIMS OF ORANGEBURG COUNTY WHO HAS BEEN CHOSEN "POSTMASTER OF THE YEAR" BY THE SOUTH CAROLINA LEAGUE OF POSTMASTERS.
Whereas, Eutawville postmaster Ruby M. Mims has been chosen "Postmaster of the Year" by the South Carolina League of Postmasters; and
Whereas, the award is given annually to the postmaster who best demonstrates character, honesty, dedication, and hard work in the spirit of the United States Postal Service; and
Whereas, the award was presented by Armonda Olevera, president of the National League of Postmasters, Eastern Division; and
Whereas, Mrs. Mims began her postal career in 1969 in Eutawville. In 1984 she was appointed postmaster of Vance, and in 1990 she was appointed as postmaster of Eutawville; and
Whereas, she also has served on the audit team of the Columbia MSC and as the secretary-treasurer of the South Carolina League of Postmasters; and
Whereas, the General Assembly is pleased to have this opportunity to recognize Mrs. Mims for the outstanding service she has performed and for her dedication to serving her community. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, congratulate Ruby M. Mims of Orangeburg County who has been chosen "Postmaster of the Year" by the South Carolina League of Postmasters.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mrs. Mims.
