A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE HERMAN LYLE EDWARDS OF AIKEN COUNTY UPON BEING RECOGNIZED AS "SOUTH CAROLINA'S TEXTILE CITIZEN OF THE YEAR - 1990".

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly were delighted to learn that Herman Lyle Edwards of Aiken County has been recognized as "South Carolina's Textile Citizen of the Year - 1990" by the South Carolina Textile Manufacturer's Association; and

Whereas, out of a pool of nationwide nominations, Mr. Edwards was also recognized as the National Textile Citizen of the Year; and

Whereas, he is highly commended for his efforts in the area of foster care having given parental guidance to over one thousand abused, neglected, and abandoned children since 1972. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly congratulate Herman Lyle Edwards of Aiken County upon being recognized as "South Carolina's Textile Citizen of the Year - 1990".

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Herman Lyle Edwards.
