A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

EXPRESSING THE SYMPATHY OF THE MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY TO THE FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS OF THE LATE ALMA P. LIVINGSTON.

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly were saddened to learn of the death of Mrs. Alma P. Livingston, a native of Younges Island, South Carolina, and the daughter of the late Arthur W. and Beatrice Towles Perry; and

Whereas, Mrs. Livingston, in a long and active career devoted to church and community service, served as regent and treasurer of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Ann Pamela Cunningham Chapter, and was active in the First Presbyterian Church in Columbia; and

Whereas, she was the devoted wife of the late Otis W. Livingston, Sr.; and

Whereas, it is appropriate for the members of the General Assembly to pause in their deliberations to note the passing of so distinguished a South Carolinian. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly express sympathy to the family and many friends of the late Alma P. Livingston.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the family.
