A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

EXPRESSING THE CONGRATULATIONS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY TO MR. CRAIG MITCHELL FUNDERBURK OF COLUMBIA, A MEMBER OF BOY SCOUT TROOP 22, UPON RECEIVING THE EAGLE SCOUT AWARD.

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly were delighted to learn that Craig Mitchell Funderburk of Columbia, a member of Boy Scout Troop 22, sponsored by the First Baptist Church of Columbia, has been awarded the coveted Eagle Scout Award; and

Whereas, in his career in Scouting, young Mr. Funderburk also has earned the God and Country Award and completed successfully the onerous and varied steps necessary to earn the Eagle Award; and

Whereas, this young man's outstanding career in Scouting has been made possible through the dedication of numerous volunteers, including a remarkable Scoutmaster, Van C. Porter, who assisted all along the way; and

Whereas, on such an occasion in the life of a young citizen of South Carolina, it is appropriate for the members of the General Assembly to pause in their deliberations to add their voices to the chorus of congratulations for a job well done and a life well begun. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly express their congratulations to Mr. Craig Mitchell Funderburk of Columbia, a member of Boy Scout Troop 22, upon his receiving the Eagle Award.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Craig Mitchell Funderburk.
