A BILL

TO REQUIRE THE DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION TO PAINT THE APPLICABLE SPEED LIMIT, AT TWO-MILE INTERVALS, ON THE PAVEMENT OF ALL INTERSTATE HIGHWAYS IN THE STATE.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. The Department of Highways and Public Transportation shall paint, or cause to be painted, the applicable speed limit, at two-mile intervals, on the pavement of all interstate highways in the State. The paint used must be reflective so as to be clearly visible at night with the use of a motor vehicle's low-beam headlights.

SECTION 2. This act takes effect one hundred twenty days after approval by the Governor.
