A SENATE RESOLUTION

EXPRESSING SORROW AT THE DEATH OF WALLACE O. ALEWINE OF IVA AND EXTENDING SYMPATHY TO HIS FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS.

Whereas, Wallace O. Alewine of Iva died on January 20, 1994; and

Whereas, Mr. Alewine was associated with the People's Bank of Iva for thirty years and was a member of the Anderson County School District 3 Board of Trustees, where he was serving as chairman at the time of his death; and

Whereas, he served in capacities of leadership on many other boards and commissions, was very active in the civic life of his community and was a devoted churchman; and

Whereas, he was an outstanding member of his community who will be missed greatly by all who knew him. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the Senate, by this resolution, expresses sorrow at the death of Wallace O. Alewine of Iva and extends sympathy to his family and many friends.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Alewine's family.
