A BILL

TO AMEND SECTION 31-17-360, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO A MOVING PERMIT FOR A MOBILE HOME, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT A MOBILE HOME DEALER MUST COMPLY WITH THE REGULATIONS OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA MANUFACTURED HOUSING BOARD AND THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 44-55-830 PRIOR TO PLACING A MOBILE HOME UPON A NEW SITE FOR OCCUPANCY.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. The last paragraph of Section 31-17-360 of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act No. 181 of 1993, is further amended to read:

"Provided, further, that such mobile home dealer shall not be relieved from obtaining any permit required from the Department of Revenue and Taxation for such relocation. A mobile home dealer must comply with the regulations of the South Carolina Manufactured Housing Board and the provisions of Section 44-55-830 prior to placing a mobile home upon a new site for occupancy."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
