More specifically, these regulations focus on: definitions, establishing the requisite intent to become a South Carolina domiciliary, maintaining a residence, effect of change of residency, effect of marriage(s), exclusion categories, faculty and administrative employees and their dependents, residents with full-time employment and their dependents, retired persons, temporary absence, non-citizens and non-permanent residents, application procedures, institutional role in determining residency status, and an appropriate institutional appeals mechanism.
