A BILL

TO AMEND SECTION 7-7-530, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO VOTING PRECINCTS IN YORK COUNTY, SO AS TO REDESIGNATE THE PRECINCTS.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. Section 7-7-530 of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 508 of 1992, is further amended to read:

"Section 7-7-530. (A) In York County there are the following voting precincts:

Allison Creek

Bethany

Bethel No. 1

Bethel No. 2

Blairsville

Bowling Green

Bullocks Creek

Cannon Mill

Catawba

Clover No. 1

Clover No. 2

Cotton Belt

Delphos

Ebenezer

Ebinport

Edgewood

Fewell Park

Filbert

Fort Mill No. 1

Tega Cay precinct consists of that area beginning at the intersection of Highway 160 and the state line; thence southeast along the state line to the shoreline of Wylie Lake; thence following the Wylie Lake shoreline to the point where it intersects with Highway 99; thence north along the centerline of Highway 99 to the intersection of Highway 160; thence north along the centerline of Highway 160 to the point of beginning. Bethel No. 1 precinct includes that area bounded by Big Allison Creek, Big Branch, Paraham Road, and Highway 49 (Charlotte Highway), which was formerly included in Cannon Mill precinct.

Census blocks 212, 110A, 110B, and 112A in York County, as contained in the official United States Census of 1990, are transferred from Rock Hill Precinct No. 6 to Rock Hill Precinct No. 8.

(B) The precinct lines defining the above precincts are as shown on the official map on file with the Division of Research and Statistical Services of the State Budget and Control Board designated as document P-91-95 and as shown on certified copies provided to the State Election Commission and the Board of Voter Registration of the county by the Division of Research and Statistical Services.

(C) The polling places for the above precincts must be determined by the York County Election Commission with the approval of a majority of the York County Legislative Delegation."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect February 1, 1995.
