A SENATE RESOLUTION

TO RECOGNIZE MR. WILTON C. GORDON OF MARLBORO COUNTY FOR HIS MANY YEARS OF UNSELFISH PUBLIC SERVICE AND HIS CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE 4-H YOUTH AND AGRICULTURE PROGRAMS AND TO WISH HIM EVERY HAPPINESS AND GOOD FORTUNE IN HIS RETIREMENT.

Whereas, Mr. Wilton C. Gordon has been an Agriculture Extension Agent in Marlboro County since February, 1971; and

Whereas, prior to coming to Marlboro County, he taught agriculture at Elloree Training High School at Elloree, South Carolina; and

Whereas, Mr. Gordon has devoted all of his adult life to promoting, educating and fostering youth development and agriculture in Marlboro County and the State of South Carolina; and

Whereas, Mr. Gordon has participated to the maximum degree of his ability in the public life of his community and has made invaluable contributions, not only in his chosen profession but also in civic and religious concerns; and

Whereas, Mr. Gordon has been in the vanguard to improve the quality of life for the citizens of Marlboro County and South Carolina. He has been affiliated with professional associations where he has won the respect and admiration of his peers; and

Whereas, Marlboro County is indebted to Mr. Gordon for his many contributions to the youth, small farmers and other citizens privileged to know this man. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the Senate, by this resolution, hereby recognize Mr. W. C. Gordon of Marlboro County for his many years of unselfish public service and his contributions to the 4-H Youth and Agriculture Programs and wish him every happiness and good fortune in his retirement.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. W. C. Gordon, Route 3, Box 208-A, Cheraw, South Carolina 29520.
