A JOINT RESOLUTION

TO CREATE THE BUDGET PROCESS COMMITTEE TO STUDY THE STATE'S BUDGETARY METHODOLOGY AND THE MANNER IN WHICH GENERAL FUND REVENUES ARE PROJECTED.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. (A) There is created the Budget Process Committee composed of the members of the State Budget and Control Board, and five persons from the business community appointed by the Governor.

(B) The committee shall meet at the call of the chairman, who is the Governor, or upon a majority of the members of the committee.

(C) The committee shall study the state's budgetary methodology and the manner in which General Fund Revenues are projected.

(D) Expenses of the committee must be paid from funds appropriated to the State Budget and Control Board.

(E) The committee shall make its report to the General Assembly no later than October 1, 1993. When the committee makes its report, it ceases to exist.

SECTION 2. This resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
