H. 3100 if enacted would amend Sections 7-15-320 and 7-15-340, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, relating to persons qualified to vote by absentee ballot, so as to lower from seventy-two to sixty-five the age of a person who qualifies to vote by absentee ballot. H. 3100 would have no additional impact on the general fund.

TO AMEND SECTIONS 7-15-320 AND 7-15-340, BOTH AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO PERSONS QUALIFIED TO VOTE BY ABSENTEE BALLOT, SO AS TO LOWER FROM SEVENTY-TWO TO SIXTY-FIVE THE AGE OF A PERSON WHO QUALIFIES TO VOTE BY ABSENTEE BALLOT.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Item (14) of Section 7-15-320 of the 1976 Code, as added by Act 489 of 1992, is amended to read:
"(14) persons seventy-two sixty-five years of age or older."
SECTION 2. Box 14 of Section 7-15-340 of the 1976 Code, as added by Act 489 of 1992, is amended to read:
"[] 14. Persons seventy-two sixty-five years of age or older."
SECTION 3. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
