A BILL

TO AMEND SECTION 40-13-240, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO ANNUAL COSMETOLOGY LICENSE RENEWAL REQUIREMENTS, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS MUST BE ESTABLISHED BY THE BOARD.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. Section 40-13-240(1) of the 1976 Code is amended to read:

"(1) The Annually on a date as may be designated by the board, the holder of any an individual license issued by the board shall annually on such date as may be designated by the board, renew his or her the license, and pay the renewal fee, and furnish proof to the board that he or she has completed of having satisfied the continuing education approved requirements established by the board."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
