A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 40-13-243 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT PRESENTATIONS OF PRODUCTS OR THE APPLICATION OF PRODUCTS CONDUCTED AT COSMETOLOGY TRADE SHOWS IN OR OUT OF THIS STATE OF AT LEAST ONE HOUR IN DURATION MAY BE USED IN SATISFYING CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 40-13-243. Presentations of products or the application of products conducted at cosmetology trade shows in or out of this State of at least one hour in duration may be used in satisfying continuing education requirements for a holder of an individual license."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect July 1, 1993.
