A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO EXTEND PRIVILEGES OF THE FLOOR OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES TO DR. BARBARA R. HATTON, PRESIDENT OF SOUTH CAROLINA STATE UNIVERSITY, ON WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 10, 1993.

Whereas, Dr. Barbara R. Hatton was selected as President of South Carolina State University in 1992; and

Whereas, Dr. Hatton came to South Carolina State from the Ford Foundation where she was deputy director of the Education and Culture Program; and

Whereas, Dr. Hatton has had a long and extensive career in education and served as a consultant to many state departments of education, colleges, and universities; and

Whereas, her knowledge and expertise are valuable tools to carry South Carolina State University into the twenty-first century. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the privilege of the floor is extended to Dr. Barbara R. Hatton, President of South Carolina State University, on Wednesday, February 10, 1993.
