TO RECOGNIZE AND COMMEND THE LOCAL, STATE, AND FEDERAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENTS INVOLVED IN "OPERATION CRACKDOWN" IN SUMTER, SOUTH CAROLINA, AND TO GRANT THE AGENTS THE PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES ON WEDNESDAY, MARCH 10, 1993, AT A TIME TO BE DETERMINED BY THE SPEAKER.
Whereas, "Operation Crackdown", the first exercise of its kind, was designed to both round up suspected drug dealers and drug users, and to let local police clean up crime with the support of the State Law Enforcement Division, the Governor's RAID team, and the National Guard; and
Whereas, we commend the citizens of Sumter and all those assisting for their innovative efforts. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That local, state, and federal law enforcement agents involved in "Operation Crackdown" in Sumter, South Carolina, be granted the privilege of the floor of the House of Representatives on Wednesday, March 10, 1993, at a time to be determined by the Speaker.
