A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 4-9-200, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT A PERSON APPOINTED BY A COUNTY BOARD, COMMISSION, OR OTHER ENTITY BY THE COUNTY LEGISLATIVE DELEGATION SERVES AT THE PLEASURE OF THE APPOINTIVE AUTHORITY.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 4-9-200. Notwithstanding the fact that he may be appointed for a stated term, a person appointed to a county board, commission, or other entity by the county legislative delegation serves at the pleasure of the appointive authority."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
