AN ACT TO AMEND ACT 908 OF 1964, RELATING TO THE CREATION OF THE NEW PROSPECT AREA FIRE DISTRICT IN SPARTANBURG COUNTY, SO AS TO INCREASE FROM TWENTY-FIVE TO TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS THE AMOUNT THE DISTRICT MAY BORROW.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

District may borrow

SECTION 1. Section 5(h) of Act 908 of 1964, is amended to read:

"(h) To borrow not exceeding two hundred thousand dollars on such terms and for such a period as to the fire control board may seem most beneficial for the fire district in anticipation of taxes. The indebtedness must be evidenced by a note issued by the members of the board and the county treasurer. The full faith, credit, and taxing power of the New Prospect Area Fire District is irrevocably pledged for the payment of the indebtedness."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
